It's Ok To Talk
The project includes dedicated public engagement and outreach activities led by Sangath in collaboration with Youth for Mental Health as the It’s Ok To Talk campaign. It’s Ok To Talk is a youth-focused public engagement programme set up by Sangath in 2016 to build mental health awareness and address stigma among young people. The programme leverages sharing of lived experience narratives, the arts, and digital media across a variety of initiatives.
Lived Experiences
Stories of lived experiences of mental health difficulties are a powerful tool in breaking stigma around mental health. It can help others who are facing similar challenges in learning coping strategies and connecting with peers. These stories have the potential to encourage others to seek help and let them know that they are not alone.

Story Library
It’s Ok To Talk has built a library of such mental health stories on itsoktotalk.in where you can read stories from young people and share your own story - whether it be as an article, blog, photograph, art, audio or video!
