Dr Mahadev Janardhan Bramhankar

Mahadev Bramhankar is a Biostatistician and Demographer who recently completed his PhD from the International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS), Mumbai. He holds an MPhil and a Master’s degree in Biostatistics and Demography. He was awarded the Government of India Fellowship during his Master’s program and the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) during his doctoral studies in recognition of his academic excellence. His research focuses on India’s disease burden, ageing, mental health, and women’s health which has been published reputed international journal, and he has developed a modified method to better understand the epidemiological transition status across states. Passionate about population health research, he aims to gain deeper insights into morbidity, mortality, and the health dynamics of women, children, and the elderly in India. His academic interests combine statistical rigor with demographic, epidemiological, and developmental perspectives to address research gaps and inform data-driven public health strategies.
