Prerna Verma
Public Engagement Officer
Prerna Verma (she/they) is a sociologist and communications practitioner who works at the crossroads of research, storytelling, and public engagement. Drawing from feminist and intersectional frameworks, their work explores how everyday spaces, policies, and narratives shape people’s lived experiences especially around gender, care, and inclusion. With a background in Sociology from Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University Delhi and Political Science from the University of Delhi, Prerna sees communication as a way of translating research into dialogue and empathy. They have worked across advocacy, policy, and creative collectives, using writing, design, and participatory methods to make social issues both seen and felt. At the heart of their practice is a belief that stories can dismantle stigma, nurture reflection, and build gentler, more equitable communities.
